Repentant Boko Haram Member Admits Killing Over 100 People

A repentant member of Boko Haram has admitted to killing more than 100 people during his time with the insurgent group.

The revelation was contained in a video shared on X, where the former fighter spoke during an interaction with a foreign vlogger at a rehabilitation camp alongside other repentant insurgents.

The ex-fighter disclosed that he carried out numerous killings while operating in remote areas in the bush.

He explained that he joined the group at a very young age, around 10, and was compelled by older members to participate in violent activities.

According to him, instructions were issued by senior members of the group, which younger recruits were expected to obey without question.

He stated that many of the attacks targeted villages, where members were often ordered to carry out deadly attacks.

The former insurgent also revealed that women captured during such operations were sometimes spared but forced into marriage with fighters due to the scarcity of women within the camps.

He made the disclosures as part of ongoing rehabilitation efforts aimed at reintegrating former Boko Haram members into society.
