Afrobeats artiste, Habeeb Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has expressed dissatisfaction following his defeat to skit maker Carter Efe in a celebrity boxing match held on Saturday morning.
Speaking during a live Instagram session after the bout, Portable alleged that the fight was not fair, insisting he was robbed of victory.
He claimed that his opponent used unfair tactics during the match, adding that several of his punches were not counted by the officials.
Portable said he was disappointed with the outcome, insisting that Carter Efe relied on his height and reach advantage rather than proper boxing technique.
He also directed criticism at the event organisers, demanding payment of what he described as his streaming revenue, which he put at about N200 million.
He further accused the organisers of bias, insisting the result did not reflect the true performance inside the ring.
Despite the defeat, Portable said he was not bothered about losing his title, stating that family mattered more to him than boxing belts.
He noted that the birth of his newborn son was more important to him than the outcome of the fight, adding that “a child cannot be bought with money.”
The singer made further emotional remarks while insisting he valued his family over any sporting achievement.
Portable’s reaction came after he lost via unanimous decision at the Chaos in the Ring 4 event held at Balmoral Hall in Lagos.
All three judges scored the bout 27–30 in favour of Carter Efe, ending Portable’s run as celebrity boxing champion.
Before the fight, Portable had expressed confidence, boasting that he would defeat Carter Efe and secure his third boxing belt following previous wins over Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington.
Carter Efe, however, had dismissed the challenge before the fight, promising a swift victory.
During the bout, the comedian dominated proceedings, using his height and reach advantage to control the fight across three rounds and land cleaner punches, ultimately securing a decisive win and the new celebrity boxing title.
