Please Help Us – Abducted Oyo School Principal, Staff Cry Out (Video)

A school principal and another staff member abducted during an attack on schools in Ahoro-Esinele community, Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, have appealed for urgent intervention to secure their release.

According to report, gunmen on Friday attacked Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota; Community Grammar School, Esiele; and L.A. Primary School in Ogbomoso, all within the local government area.

The Oyo State Police Command had confirmed that a teacher and a commercial motorcyclist were killed during the attack.

Reports also indicated that at least 45 pupils, the school principal, Mrs Rachael Alamu, and several staff members were abducted by the assailants.

In a viral video circulating on social media on Sunday, Alamu disclosed that the gunmen invaded the school around 9:30 a.m. and abducted both staff members and students.

The principal appealed to the Federal Government, the Oyo State Government, the Christian Association of Nigeria, and other Nigerians to intervene and ensure their safe release.

She also disclosed that they had remained in captivity since Friday and pleaded for efforts to resolve the situation peacefully to prevent loss of lives.

Another victim identified as Temitope, who appeared in the video carrying a baby, also appealed for urgent government intervention.

Temitope stated that she works at First Baptist Church in Ogbomosho and explained that the attackers invaded the school and abducted both teachers and pupils.

She appealed to the Federal Government, the Oyo State Government, the church, and members of the community to assist in securing their freedom.

The victim further lamented the condition of the abducted children, noting that many of them had been crying while in captivity and pleading for help.
