ORIYOMI___ a genius loci, philosopher- dwarfed and metaphysician. That was evident in his theories of dialectics. In the tradition of Plato, who reasoned that only men of ideas should aspire to lead their societies, Oriyomi took time to studied the nomenclature of Oyo politics through pursuit of knowledge, political thought, associate, theories and needs of grassroots.
He fought for social justice in our society that has become dictums of romanticism of liberal inclination. From his school of thought, Hamzat’s differed significantly from both Hegel and Heraclitus on the issue of what constitutes the “motor and force” of development of evolution.
He found that with the essence of Socrates and Plato whose essence lies in the rejection and elimination of logical contradiction of the knowledge of truth and attainment of good and moral values of life by an individual. His ethical dialectics which is devoid of hatred, conflict and violence. Instead, it is full of goodness, love and the promotion of the well- being of man, individually and collectively. This dialectics of ethical behaviourism is a general norm which he believes is realizable in a community by individuals.
Hamzat’s theory of dialectics also significantly departs from that of Karl Marx, the father of modern communism. Marx’s view of dialectics was the exact opposite of Hegels. His hypothesis was that the real world is ideal to the extent that “material world should be translated into concrete forms by the human mind”.
In political circles, Oriyomi was famous for being blunt in speaking his mind. As a Journalist of many years of voicing for the voiceless through a structure of “Agidigbo” this has helped his believe, sacrifice and trust earned through the masses. But now he was dealing with an umpire who possessed the wherewithal to block his ambition.
The political thought of every leader is to become resilience, perseverance, focus and hard-working to pursue his goal, never distracted and be determined to enunciate his cardinal blueprint for the people of oyo state.
