Popular Nigerian gospel minister and evangelist, Toun Soetan, is dead.
Soetan was known for her passionate preaching, evangelical outreach and long-standing commitment to Christian ministry, through which she influenced many believers across different parts of the country.
Throughout her years in ministry, she gained recognition for organising revival meetings and prayer programmes aimed at promoting spiritual renewal and spreading the Christian faith among diverse congregations.
The late evangelist was also known in gospel music circles and was regarded by many as one of the few scandal-free gospel musicians during her lifetime.
Reacting, the former secretary of the Entertainment Writers Association of Nigeria in Oyo State, Kunle Bakare, described Soetan as a devoted gospel minister whose carefully written song lyrics reflected strong Christian values.
Bakare also noted that the late evangelist established a music training college where she mentored many gospel musicians who are currently active in the industry.
Another gospel musician , Peters Olaniyi Olusegun, also confirmed the development in a Facebook post, describing Soetan as a legendary figure in gospel ministry and offering prayers for her family and her husband, Titus Soetan.
