The lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Bamidele Salam, has officially received his Accord Party membership card.
The presentation of the membership card took place in Awo, Egbedore Local Government Area, on Friday.
During the event, both Rep. Bamidele Salam and Governor Ademola Adeleke received endorsements for re-election from Accord Party stakeholders.
Representing the governor, the Commissioner for Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, Dr. Biyi Odunlade, described Rep. Bamidele Salam as a special ally held in high esteem by Governor Adeleke.
He highlighted the lawmaker’s outstanding performance, which extends beyond his federal constituency.

Dr. Odunlade urged Accord Party members and supporters to continue backing Rep. Bamidele Salam’s re-election bid for the benefit and progress of the constituency.
Speaking at the event, the Accord Party State Chairman, Pastor Victor Akande, appealed to supporters to rally behind Governor Ademola Adeleke and Rep. Bamidele Salam.

He expressed confidence that this support would secure victory for the governor in 2026 and for the lawmaker in 2027.
Addressing journalists after receiving his membership card, Rep Bamidele Salam stated that the Accord Party has become dominant in Osun State due to Governor Adeleke’s superlative performance and record of achievements over the past three years.
He explained that as a leading member of the party and a leader in his federal constituency, he is positioning himself at the forefront of the movement by formally receiving the membership card and launching massive mobilization efforts to bring more members into Accord.
Rep. Salam described the event as the official launch of Governor Adeleke’s campaign for a second term ahead of the August 15 governorship election, expressing strong confidence in Accord’s victory and Adeleke’s re-election.
The lawmaker highlighted that Accord’s manifesto and agenda align closely with the needs of the masses in Osun State and with the current government’s programs.
He described the registration as signaling a fresh beginning and a reconfiguration of the campaign strategy for the August 15 governorship poll, predicting a wide margin of victory over other parties in the forthcoming elections.

The lawmaker added that this momentum will translate into success in the 2027 general elections, where he plans to stand as Accord’s candidate for the House of Representatives, alongside other party candidates for the National Assembly and State Assembly.
He expressed excitement over his endorsement by party leaders, ward chairmen, executives, councilors, and other stakeholders from Ejigbo Local Government, who supported his bid for a third term.
Rep Bamidele said this encouragement compels him to offer even more services to the people of the federal constituency.
In his own remarks, a youth leader in Egbedore Local Government, Sulaimon Mutiu Ademola, praised the Rep Bamidele’s wonderful performance as a member of the House of Representatives.
Sulaimon noted that stakeholders from Egbedore and other local governments endorsed him for the continuation of his good work in the constituency.
He advised supporters to back both Gov. Ademola Adeleke and Hon. Bamidele Salam so that their positive contributions can continue without interruption, emphasizing that the youth have been calling for the continuation of both leaders’ tenures due to their excellent service to the people.
