The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has criticised key opposition figures, including Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi, and Rauf Aregbesola, describing them as lacking significant political impact despite their past positions.
Morka made the remarks while speaking on Sunday Politics, where he downplayed the strength of the opposition coalition within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), insisting that the ruling party has no reason to feel threatened.
He stated that although the individuals involved have held prominent offices in the past, their current political influence remains limited, adding that their collective presence has not translated into meaningful impact.
The APC spokesman also dismissed allegations by the ADC that the ruling party is interfering in its internal affairs, challenging the opposition to provide evidence to support such claims.
He maintained that the APC has consistently recorded electoral victories since 2023 and therefore has no reason to fear any opposition party, particularly one he described as lacking structure and relevance.
Morka further attributed the internal crisis within the ADC to what he termed self-inflicted errors, suggesting that the party’s challenges were a result of poor internal management.
He extended his criticism to other opposition figures, accusing them of instability and a pattern of moving across political parties while blaming the ruling party for their difficulties.
